Richmond AFLW trio Monique Conti, Eilish Sheerin and Courtney Wakefield have capped off their standout seasons with selection in the prestigious All-Australian side for Season Seven.

Announced at Tuesday night's W Awards, it is the first time Richmond has had three representatives in the AFLW All Australian team since the Club joined the competition in 2020, after Conti and skipper Katie Brennan were named in the side in 2021 and 2022.

Midfield sensation Conti is now a four-time All-Australian after receiving the honour tonight for the third season straight in addition to 2019.

The triple Tigers AFLW best and fairest winner was named in the midfield the All-Australian line-up.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed yet another decorated season, having been named captain of the AFL Players' Association's AFLW 22Under22 side earlier today and finishing equal-second place in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award for 2022.

She also displayed her craft in front of goals this season to kick a career-best eight majors, while averaging 21.7 disposals, 6.2 tackles and 3.9 clearances across her 10 home and away outings.

Sheerin was a revelation in her debut AFLW season, turning heads from her very first game back in Round 1 where she recorded 19 disposals, 17 contested possessions, 408 metres gained, 16 intercepts and five rebound-50s.

The 30-year-old, who was positioned as a defender in the All Australian team, went on to cement her place as one of the best rebounding defenders in the competition.

Playing every game in the home and away season, she showcased her dash and dare as averaged 16 disposals per game in her inaugural season.

Wakefield's selection in the forward line of the side is a fitting accolade for the recently-retired Tiger, after she produced a sensational final season in the competition.

The strong-marking 35-year-old had a career-best season in Season Seven, booting 14 goals to finish equal third in the league's leading goalkicker award.

Richmond Head of Women's Football Kate Sheahan said it was a well deserved honour for the trio.

"It's amazing to see the hard work paying off for all three players. To have representation across all three lines is incredible for our program, and we know all three will enjoy each other's success as much as their own," she said.

"The consistency and growth that Mon has shown is unbelievable. Her CV speaks for herself and a is a testament to the work she's put into her game.

"This was evident in her ability to go forward and kick eight goals this season and really impact the team on the scoreboard, but the element of her game that we love is her defensive mindset, her tackling and her never give up attitude.

"For Eilish to come in for her first season and have such an impact and hit the ground running from her very first game, really showed the competition what she was made of.

"And it's a true story of persistence and resilience for Court, who basically spent her entire career battling injuries and distance. The way she held up as our key forward this year, it's a really nice way to send off for her."

Young gun Ellie McKenzie was also named in the All-Australian squad of 42 but did not feature in the final side.

The 2022 Season Seven AFLW All-Australian selection panel is Nicole Livingstone (Chairperson), Sarah Black, Sam Virgo, Andrew Dillon, Laura Kane, Kelli Underwood, Megan Waters, Narelle Smith and Tim Harrington.
