Tenacious ‘ball-magnet’ midfielder Anthony Miles was a standout for Richmond in its disappointing 35-point loss to North Melbourne at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena last Saturday.

Miles finished the match with an equal career-high 30 disposals, including 11 contested possessions, a game-high nine clearances, a game-high six inside-50s, and an equal career-high two goals.

He never stopped trying to lift the Tigers through his determined play in the midfield, regardless of the scoreboard situation.

It was the 12th time in Miles’ 19-game career at Richmond that he’s had 25 disposals or more in a match.  He’s picked up 20 disposals-plus on 16 occasions, and cemented himself as an important member of the Tigers’ line-up, after joining the Club from GWS, where he played 10 games in two season.

Miles made his senior debut with Richmond against North Melbourne in Round 12 last year at Etihad Stadium, and the following week had 30 disposals for the first time in his league career, when the Tigers lost to Fremantle at the MCG.
