Brandon Ellis kicked two nominations for Richmond’s goal of the year, in the same game against Carlton in Round 2, the second of which was voted the third best goal of 2014 by Tiger fans.

It was early in the second quarter and the ball was brought to the front of the pack from a boundary throw in.

Chris Newman gathered the bouncing ball and dished off to Ellis, who sized up his options, saw he had few options in the middle, and set sail for goal from 50 metres out on the boundary line.

The number two goal of the year, as voted by Tiger fans, will be revealed tomorrow, Thursday September 25.
