Richmond players slogged through their final pre-season time trial at Princes Park today.

The Tigers continued their fitness-building regime with a three-kilometre running test, less than five weeks until their first competitive game against the Western Bulldogs on February 28.

For the players, it was another opportunity to measure their fitness, and an important pre-season marker as the football phase intensifies.

“It’s always a good feeling to get them out of the way.  Now we can really get stuck into the football phase, and start playing some intra-club games,” said Richmond tall forward Ben Griffiths.

“We’re training really hard at the moment, and it (time trial) gives us a really good measure of where we’re at physically.  It gives you some confidence as well.”
