Richmond star Brett Deledio has been offered a one-game suspension from the AFL’s Match Review Panel stemming from last Thursday’s Round 1 match against Carlton.

Deledio was charged with rough conduct against the Blues’ Simon White, in the opening minute of the Tigers’ 27-point win at the MCG.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Carlton Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

The offence was classified as a two-week sanction under the table of penalties. Deledio had no applicable bad record, and an early plea can reduce the penalty to a one-match sanction.
