Richmond’s VFL pre-season campaign will culminate with three practice matches to be played as curtain-raisers to the opening three rounds of the 2017 AFL season. 

The VFL Tigers will play Northern Blues on Thursday, March 23, prior to Richmond's season opening AFL clash against Carlton at the MCG.

Craig McRae’s side then returns to Punt Road Oval the following Thursday to battle Collingwood, ahead of the Round 2 AFL match at the 'G.

The side will wrap up its pre-season campaign to align with Tigers third round clash, with a hit-out against Essendon at Punt Road Oval on Saturday, April 8.

In the first of four pre-season hit outs, the VFL Tigers travel to Footscray’s Whitten Oval to take on the reigning premier on Friday, March 10.

Hugh Beasley and Brandon Wood will make their debut in yellow and black, after joining Richmond's VFL side from the Brisbane Lions and Frankston respectively. 

Entry is free and food and drink will be available at all matches.

The VFL Tigers will kick off their 2017 campaign against North Ballarat at Punt Road Oval on Sunday, April 16.
