Experienced Richmond midfielder Shaun Grigg has likened rising Tiger star Daniel Rioli to the player rated the best small forward in the AFL.
“He reminds me of Eddie Betts, in my time at Carlton with Eddie,” Grigg said on 3AW.
“Daniel’s really good around the Club . . . very good with the other young guys, a leader . . . Really similar type of guy (to Betts).
“He’s really stepped up this year and it’s no real surprise.
“He’s put a lot of hard work in, putting on some weight in the off-season and getting himself super-fit . . .
“I’m really rapt for him.”
