At the half-way point of season 2017, AFL.com.au has named its mid-season Virgin Australia AFL All Australian team.

Three tough Tigers have been given the nod in recognition of their outstanding form for the first half of the 2017 season.

Three-time All-Australian, Alex Rance, has been named at full-back, Dustin Martin holds a position on a half-forward flank, and 2012 All-Australian and Brownlow Medalist Trent Cotchin fits in to the side on the interchange.

Coach of the year

Damien Hardwick's turnaround of Richmond has won him the post as coach of the season so far.

Leon Cameron was considered as coach for leading Greater Western Sydney to the top of the ladder despite a lengthy injury list.

Also prominent in voting was Ken Hinkley for his role in charge of a resurgent Port Adelaide.
