Richmond supporters have again shown why they are the most passionate and loyal in the land, with the Club breaking its membership record for the seventh consecutive year.

“A strong and bold Club is built on the strength of its people and our members are a critical part of what we are all striving to achieve and we thank them for their support,” Richmond chief executive Brendon Gale said.

The Club’s official membership tally currently sits at 73,515, surpassing last year’s record of 72,403.

The Club will also finish season 2017 ranked number one in the AFL for home crowds and this weekend it will smash through the one million barrier for home and away crowds this season.

“Our members sustain this Club through good times and bad. We are extremely grateful to have such loyal fans and equally they should all be very proud of the role they play in building this Club,” Gale said.

“Our playing group, coaches and staff are well aware of the enormous support we receive and each year we continue to work towards delivering what we all want, a strong and bold Premiership Club.”
