Richmond captain Trent Cotchin has spoken of the enjoyment he gets out of the Tigers’ pressure-packed playing style.

That high level of intensity, the cornerstone of Richmond’s premiership success last year, was evident again in the team’s 70-point victory over Essendon in last Wednesday night’s final 2018 JLT Community Series hit-out at Ikon Park.

“It’s good fun when everyone’s joining in,” Cotchin told ‘Fox Footy’.

“Everyone wants to get a kick and shots on goal, but it’s just as much fun to crash in and turn the ball over.

“So you just keep encouraging and rewarding the guys that are doing it . . .

“We were a little bit scrappy at times tonight, but I think our pressure was pretty good for the majority.

“And if the guys are showing up bringing that most games, you’re going to give yourself an opportunity.”
