Star Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt has paid a glowing tribute to talented Tiger teenager Jack Higgins, who made an impressive AFL debut in last Sunday’s victory over Hawthorn at the MCG.

Higgins, 19, booted two eye-catching goals, celebrated them with great gusto, and attacked his small-forward role for the Tigers with super-high energy right throughout the match.

“He’s a very exciting kid . . . very, very bubbly and has the football chip that I think is so important to play the game,” Riewoldt said on ‘Fox Footy’.

“I reckon people could get put off by the celebrations and whatnot, but that’s what we love about him. He’s such an excitable, young man.

“And he’s so professional.

“I’ve never seen a kid come in and be as professional and diligent as he is.

“He got his chance to play in front of 70,000 screaming Richmond supporters on the weekend, and he certainly didn’t disappoint.”
