Richmond has named its strongest VFL team of the pre-season so far, for this Saturday’s (April 4) practice match against Essendon.

The Tigers have named 15 senior listed Richmond players, and two rookies, for the match to be held at the Bombers’ training base in Tullamarine.

Among those is defender David Astbury, who has recovered from a foot injury sustained after being stung by a stingray.

Newly-appointed VFL captain, former Carlton listed midfielder Jaryd Cachia, will play his first game of the pre-season campaign.

The full scale practice match starts at 11am, and there is free entry for fans.

No food or beverage facilities will be available, and there is limited toilet access for fans.
