Richmond will continue to strive for consistency, as it seeks to build on a four-game winning streak following this week’s bye.

As impressive as the Tigers have been in toppling Collingwood, Port Adelaide, Essendon and Fremantle in consecutive weeks, they realise nothing can be taken for granted in such an even season.

“The way we need to look at it is, you are only as good as your next performance, and that is the reality of AFL footy,” Richmond captain Trent Cotchin said on 3AW.

“The challenge is to remain consistent in our behaviours, whether that be on the training track or game day . . . driving each other to get better.

“I feel as though, especially a couple of wins, have been mature performances.

“We haven’t played amazing offensive footy, but our defensive structure has been strong.  We have been able to out-tackle and win contested footy.

“Keeping those focuses really simple, and knowing what works for us, is probably the main focus, and it starts on the training track.”

Richmond’s first four games after the bye are West Coast at the MCG in Round 12, Sydney at the SCG in Round 13, GWS at the MCG in Round 14 and Carlton at the MCG in Round 15.
