Richmond star Dustin Martin has expressed his delight in re-signing with the Club.

It was announced today that Martin had agreed to a new two-year deal at Tigerland, stretching beyond the contract he already had in place for 2015.

“I’m rapt to be honest.  Glad we got it all done and don’t have to worry about it now for another few years . . . couldn’t be happier,” Martin told ‘Roar Vision’.

“It was something ‘Ralphy’ (Ralph Carr) my manager and the Club did well.  They kept it quiet and got it done, so it was really good on both ends.”

Martin paid tribute to the role Richmond has played in his development, both on and off the field.

“The Club’s been massive for me.  They’ve been a massive part of my life since I was 18 and they’ve taught me a lot about life and a lot about footy as well.  They’ve been great,” he said.

“We’re all in this together.  I got here when ‘Dimma’ (Damien Hardwick) first started, so it’s been a bit of a journey so far, and we certainly want to stay together and finish it off.”
