Richmond’s VFL team will focus on playing its own way in this Saturday’s Anzac Day away clash with Frankston.

Coach Tim Clarke expressed his disappointment at the side’s Round 1 loss to Coburg last week, citing an inability of his player to get the game on their terms.

“I’m sure Frankston will bring a similar type of pressure to what Coburg brought on the weekend,” Clarke told Roar Vision.

“We’ve spoken about how we need to deal with that a little bit better.

“We’re just going to have to be able to control the ball more on the weekend.  Win the ball inside first, and just play the style of football Richmond expect.

“On the weekend it just wasn’t up to standard, and we need to be better at that area of the game.”

Richmond will also need to overcome a recent poor record against Frankston, if it is to square the ledger early in the 2015 season.

In the corresponding Anzac Day fixture last season, in Round 4, the two teams played out a draw.

Before that, the Dolphins have had the wood over the Tigers, winning five-straight games between the sides (including during the alignment with Coburg), dating back to 2011.
