Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is poised to move into third place on the Tigers’ list for most games coached, during the 2015 season.

Hardwick has coached Richmond in 112 games, since being appointed to the role at the end of 2009.

He will enter next season just one game behind the Tigers’ last premiership coach, Tony Jewell, and Danny Frawley, who are in equal fifth place on the Club’s all-time coaching list (113 apiece).

Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes, who coached Richmond to the 1932 premiership, is fourth, with 120 games, while Percy Bentley, the Tigers’ 1934 premiership coach, is third, on 133 games.

Four-time Richmond premiership coach and Club ‘Immortal’, Tommy Hafey, leads the way at Tigerland for games coached, with 248, with fellow Yellow and Black Immortal, Jack Dyer, second, on 226 games.

Of the current-day AFL senior coaches, the only one, who has been in charge at his club longer than Hardwick, is Hawthorn’s Alastair Clarkson.
