Richmond has elevated rookies Matt Thomas and Orren Stephenson to the Club’s senior playing list ahead of the 2014 season.

Thomas has impressed the Tigers’ coaching staff in the pre-season, culminating in his 26-disposal, 10-tackle performance against Essendon in last Friday’s practice match at the ME Bank Centre.

The 27-year-old crossed from Port Adelaide to Richmond at the end of 2013, after 87 games in eight seasons with the Power.

It all starts this Saturday night - Don’t miss any of the action this season, become a 2014 Richmond member today.

He was selected with the Tigers’ third pick in the most recent AFL Rookie Draft.

Stephenson has started each of his two seasons at Tigerland as a rookie, and he has been elevated to the senior list each year before the home-and-away action has begun.

In 2013, the 31-year-old played six senior games as a back-up to Richmond ruckman Ivan Maric, following eight games the previous season with Geelong.

Stephenson made his way through to the AFL ranks after a successful VFL career, which included three premierships with North Ballarat.

The Tigers have four other players on their rookie list for the start of the 2014 season - Anthony Miles, Todd Banfield, Ben Darrou and Cadeyn Williams.
