Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has praised the efforts of the Tigers’ star key forward Jack Riewoldt in taking his game to another level this season.

Riewoldt is still kicking his fair share of goals, currently sitting in second place on the competition’s goalkicking table with 37 after Round 13, but Hardwick believes he’s now an even better player due to his forward pressure and unselfishness.

“I think he’s grown in stature as a player and as a leader also,” Hardwick said on Triple M.

“He’s just been absolutely outstanding in the way he’s developed his game . . .

“It takes a little bit of time to click between wanting to get a kick yourself, but then also turning the page and being a leader and also getting your side to win.  I think Jack has well and truly found that switch.

“We’re really pleased with the way he’s progressing at the moment.”
