Richmond remains extremely confident of re-signing talented, young forward Ben Lennon, who has completed his initial two-year contract with the Tigers.

The Club’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson, has refuted speculation that Lennon was unhappy at Tigerland and seeking a trade.

“Ben’s certainly not disgruntled, let me make that really clear,” Richardson told ‘AFL Trade Radio’ this morning.

“Look, he, like any player would be, was disappointed to miss out on selection in that last game (elimination final v North Melbourne).

“But Ben’s really happy at Richmond, we want him to stay, and I’m really confident he’ll stay.

“We’ve been really strong in in what we’re trying to achieve with our player payments, and over the last few years getting all our players to buy into the fact that if you want to have success and stay together, then there may be some sacrifices that need to be made along the way.

“Ben’s just getting his head around that, and I’m sure he will, because we want him here, and he’s very happy at the Tiges.

“So, certainly, to say he’s disgruntled, would not be correct.”
