He won his inaugural Jack Dyer Medal this year, gained All-Australian selection for the first time, and finished third in the 2016 Brownlow Medal, yet Dustin Martin’s best is still ahead of him, according to Richmond’s captain Trent Cotchin.

Martin, 25, was awarded life membership of the Club at last night’s Annual General Meeting, having qualified by reaching the 150-game milestone with the Tigers late in the 2016 season.

Cotchin is convinced the dynamic midfielder can take his already mighty impressive game to an even higher level.

“He had an outstanding season, but I think the greatest thing that we’re excited about at Richmond is the football we think he can continue to produce,” Cotchin said.

“He’s only going to get better.

“He’s doing more work than ever in the gym, and I think he’s going to be a strong force going forward.”
