A premiership would be right at the top of every keen Richmond supporter’s Christmas wish list – and it’s something the Tiger players are determinedly working towards delivering . . .

“We’re very focused on playing finals again next year,” declared the Tigers’ valuable small defender Steven Morris.

“It was an amazing experience playing in such a big game (the 2013 elimination final), in front of so many passionate Richmond supporters.

“I know that their wishes will be for us to play in a premiership.  I certainly dream about that, too, and I’m sure that the other players are exactly the same.

“We’ve shown over the last two seasons that we can match it with the best teams in the competition.

“We beat the two Grand Finalists last year and did exactly the same again this year.

“It’s frustrating, from our point of view, knowing that we can match it with the very best.  But we’ve just got to be more consistent on a week-to-week basis . . .

“We’ve all been playing with each other for a year longer now, we’re getting some really good acquisitions like last year with Troy (Chaplin), and this year with Shaun (Hampson), who can hopefully help in our development as well.

“It’s a great place to be around, and we certainly can see some success in the not-too-distant future.”
