Richmond has named a near full-strength 34-player squad for its matches against Melbourne and North Melbourne in the opening round of the AFL’s 2013 pre-season competition at Etihad Stadium this Friday night (February 22).
The Tigers have included new captain Trent Cotchin and other big guns Brett Deledio, Jack Riewoldt, Alex Rance, Ivan Maric and Ty Vickery, who all missed the clash with the Indigenous All Stars in Alice Springs early this month.
Mature-age off-season recruits Chris Knights, Aaron Edwards, Ricky Petterd and Orren Stephenson have been named, along with young draftees Nick Vlastuin and Matthew McDonough.

The Richmond players not competing in the opening round of the pre-season series are Dylan Grimes, Sam Lonergan, Troy Chaplin, Jake King, Brad Helbig, Kamdyn McIntosh, Liam McBean, Cadeyn Williams, Nathan Foley, Ben Darrou and Gideon Simon.
Richmond will play Melbourne at 7.50pm and then North Melbourne at 8.55pm.
