Richmond will enter the 2017 Grand Final against Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday with an unchanged line-up.

The Tigers have stuck with the same side that defeated Greater Western Sydney in last Saturday’s MCG preliminary final by 36 points and Geelong by 51 points in the qualifying final.

It’s the first time since 1969, and only the third occasion in Richmond’s football history, that it has not made a team change throughout a three-game finals campaign.

In 1969, Richmond won the first semi-final against Geelong, the preliminary final against Collingwood, and then the Grand Final against Carlton, with the same players for each match.

This also occurred back in 1921, when the Tigers accounted for Geelong in the semi-final, Carlton in the preliminary final, and the Blues again in the Grand Final.

Richmond’s three emergencies for the 2017 Grand Final are Jayden Short, Shaun Hampson and Corey Ellis.
