The final act of Dustin Martin’s outstanding 2017 season was a ripping goal he kicked in the closing stages of Richmond’s glorious Grand Final triumph over Adelaide that was voted by Yellow and Black barrackers as the Tigers’ fourth best of the year.

Star Tiger key forward Jack Riewoldt centred the ball on his left foot and two Crows flew in vain for the mark.

When the ball spilled to the front, Dusty was, as usual, in the right place. He swooped, gathered possession of the ‘pill’ and then, in typically talented style, hooked it over his shoulder for a super six-pointer that propelled Richmond to a 53-point lead.

It was to be the Tigers’ final goal of their emphatic Grand Final victory, and sweet cream on their premiership cake.

The third best Richmond goal of the year, as voted by Tiger fans, will be revealed later today.
