Richmond youngster Ben Lennon has earned another opportunity at AFL level, with the 19-year-old selected in the side for Saturday’s clash against Adelaide.

Lennon replaces midfielder Matt Thomas in the 22-man team, who has a knee injury.

It is the only change from the side which defeated Essendon by 18 points last week.

Lennon has played five senior games so far in his first season, from Rounds 9-13, though he was the substitute for three of those.

He has been selected on the back of some impressive form in the VFL, where he has averaged 24 disposals, eight marks and 3.5 tackles in his last five full games.

He was among the best afield in last weekend’s VFL win over Bendigo, where he racked up 25 disposals, seven marks, six tackles and a goal.

The emergencies for Saturday night’s match at Adelaide Oval are Matt Dea, Matt McDonough and Sam Lloyd.
