Richmond has named its extended VFL squad for the season-opener against Footscray at Whitten Oval this Saturday, which includes 13 AFL-listed players.

Among the senior players named for the Round 1 match are Nathan Foley, Ben Lennon, Jake Batchelor and Anthony Miles.

Lennon continues his return from a pre-season knee injury, impressing in his recent matches at VFL level.

Missing from the line-up this weekend are tall forward Liam McBean, Aaron Edwards and Chris Knights, who are recovering from a minor injuries suffered in last week’s VFL practice match.

Richmond is encouraging its fans to attend the VFL Tigers’ first match against Footscray at Whitten Oval, before the two AFL teams clash at Etihad Stadium in the afternoon. Entry to Whitten Oval is via gold coin donation.
