Tim Taranto leads the top-rated Richmond players so far in 2026, as the star midfielder continues to maintain his excellent standard of play.
Revealed on the AFL website, Taranto’s Champion Data Player Rating of 169.7 leads the Tigers after 16 rounds of the campaign.
Taranto is coming off a masterful performance against Collingwood, where he kicked an equal career-high four goals alongside his 26 disposals, while also earning seven coaches’ votes.
Across his 13 appearances this year, Taranto is averaging 23.7 disposals, 12.5 contested possessions, 5.8 clearances and 5.2 score involvements. He also captained the Club for a large portion of the season while Toby Nankervis was injured.
Richmond’s second rated player this season is Jack Ross (163.2), while youngster Seth Campbell continues his climb to stardom, ranking third (160.9).
Ross returned for his first game since Round 12 last week, after suffering a concussion, and prior to the injury, his consistency and output were at career best levels.
The 25-year-old, who has also held the captaincy mantle at times this year, is averaging 23.2 disposals, 17.2 effective disposals, 11.1 contested possessions, 5.4 score involvements, 5.1 tackles and 4.5 clearances, all career-highs.
Campbell has benefited from an increase in midfield exposure this season, adding more strings to his bow while he remains a dangerous scoring option.
The 21-year-old is amassing 15.6 disposals and just under five score involvements per game, and has notched at least 20 disposals in three of the past five contests.
