Richmond was unable to take home their first win of the season against Geelong at IKON Park on Sunday, but their is hope of a revival against St Kilda in Round 6.

Take the advice of star Tiger Monique Conti, who again dominated against the Cats, of the positives that lie ahead this week.

"We finished off the game strong and showed glimpses of how good we can be," Conti told Richmond Media post match.

"It's just a matter of coming in hot and putting teams to the sword early.

"We've got to come back to us, play our way and focus on what we can do."

Conti, who led the midfield as usual on Sunday, showed a familiar spark against the Cats, collecting 26 disposals, three clearances and laying seven tackles. One of those tackles resulted in a crucial goal.

"Pressure is what I pride myself on," she said.

"It's one of my top strengths and how I get my hands on the footy; by pressuring around the contest."

And while Conti, alongside fellow midfielder Ellie McKenzie (27 disposals), dominated as expected, there is hope that the next generation of Tiger cubs will bring that same fire to the contest.

Sierra Grieves, who booted her first AFLW goal and continues her immediate impact, comes to mind for Conti.

"It's good to see her hit the scoreboard. She's a real damaging player," she said.

"She's a star already, but she's the star of the future. If we keep utilising her strengths and have her in and around the ball, kicking goals, she's going to be a strength for us."

Attention now turns to a must-win clash against St Kilda, with Conti confident that the spirit is burning within the group.

"We need to try to keep being brave and take some more risks, be damaging and try to cut through the deep end a bit more," she said.

Richmond heads to RSEA Park on Sunday to take on the Saints from 3.05pm (AEST).
