VWFL Tiger James Weinert has won the Club’s Best and Fairest award for the Championship Division side, while Matt Morris has been named Best and Fairest for the Community Division team.

Both Weinert and Morris had astounding seasons on the court, leading their teams to their respective Grand Final appearances.

Despite going down in the Championship Division Grand Final, Weinert had an amazing 2025 campaign, where he was also recognised as the League’s Best and Fairest player.

Richmond VWFL player James Weinert spoke to Richmond Media following the team's loss to St Kilda in the VWFL Championship Division Grand Final.

With Richmond only having one player on the bench for most of its campaign, Weinert showed exceptional skill and heart when taking to the court, leading his side to an undefeated regular season.

Morris was a pivotal figure in Richmond’s Community Division side, leading his team to a Grand Final match with Essendon, after finishing the season as minor premiers.

Both players were acknowledged for their achievements at Richmond’s Jack Dyer Medal night on Tuesday.
