Richmond midfielder Ellie McKenzie has taken home second place in the 2025 Best and Fairest count, following a strong personal season in the yellow and black.
Playing 10 games in season 2025, McKenzie stood tall alongside Monique Conti in the middle, and collected some career-best statistics.
In Round 7, the 22-year-old was prominent, collecting a career-high 27 disposals against the Cats, with her season average sticking at an impressive 22.4 touches each week.
During Dreamtime in Darwin, she notched up 26 touches, followed by 25 disposals a piece against premiers North Melbourne and finalists, St Kilda.
It was always destined to be a big year for McKenzie after her positive showing in Round 1 against the Swans, where she managed a career-high eight clearances in the away match.
She finished a place higher than in 2024, and equalled her second-place finish back in 2021.
