Richmond's 2026 campaign ended in defeat on Saturday night, losing to the finals bound Geelong by 57 points at GMHBA Stadium.Â
Shaun Mannagh ran rampant with three early goals as the Cats romped to a 49-point lead at half-time, before cruising to a 20.13 (133) to 11.10 (76) victory.Â
While there was little at stake for the Tigers, it was evident Adem Yze’s team were doing their best to finish the year on a positive note.

VOTE NOWThe young group applied considerable effort and persisted throughout the four quarters, despite the class and experience gap between the teams. The third quarter, in which they matched it with the home side, was an obvious positive for Tigers fans.
Veteran forward Tom Lynch, fresh off signing a one-year contract extension, competed hard up forward to finishing with three majors, while Tim Taranto (36 disposals, one goal) and Jack Ross (32 disposals) were also among their side's best.
The result ensures the Cats will finish inside the top six, avoiding a wildcard final.
Returning Geelong star Jeremy Cameron began the night roaming across half-back, before returning to his more familiar role in the attacking 50 in the second half. Bailey Smith had 40 touches and three goals, and Mannagh starred with three goals from 33 disposals.
