Kane Lambert’s capacity to hit the scoreboard is further enhancing his value within Richmond’s line-up.

The premiership midfielder was the Tigers’ equal leading goalkicker in their convincing victory over Greater Western Sydney at the MCG yesterday, with three goals in the wet conditions.

That followed his three-goal haul the previous round against Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Lambert has 10 goals from 12 games in 2019 and is on track to surpass his best return in a season of 15, which he scored last year, when he finished runner-up in the Jack Dyer Medal.

His return from a four-game stint on the sidelines this season with an Achilles injury has provided Richmond with a significant boost.

Apart from being dangerous around goal, when playing in the forward line, Lambert continues to have a major impact through the midfield.

He is averaging 23.4 disposals, 5.3 marks, 3.6 inside-50s and 3.2 tackles so far this season, and is ranked fifth in the competition for score involvements per game.
