A depleted Coburg Tigers outfit went down narrowly to VFL top-four aspirants Werribee yesterday.

The Tigers led the match by two points at three-quarter time, but faded in the final term and suffered a 14-point loss.

Young Richmond forward Todd Elton booted two goals, along with rookie Gibson Turner, though Turner eventually left the field with a hand injury.

Andrew Browne continued his impressive VFL form, working tirelessly in the ruck, in the absence of fellow Tiger talls, Angus Graham and Tom Derickx, who have been called into the senior team in the last two weeks.

Coburg plays host to North Ballarat at 1.10pm this Saturday, July 21, and will be broadcast live on ABC TV.
