Coburg’s second home game in a regional city for the 2012 VFL season has ended in a 46-point loss to Geelong.
The Tigers trailed by two points at three-quarter time in Warrnambool, but were overrun by the fourth-placed Cats.
Addam Maric led the possession count for Coburg with 24, while Kel Moore continued his impressive comeback from injury with 18 disposals in defence.
Angus Graham and Luke McGuane were among the goal-scorers, Jayden Post (19 possessions) and Tom Derickx (14) battled hard and rookies Ben Darrou (19 disposals) and Steve Verrier showed impressive signs.
The Tigers have four wins from 12 appearances so far this season, and have the bye this weekend before facing Werribee on the road in Round 16.
In a nod to Richmond Football Club’s proud history, the restoration of brickwork from the former Jack Dyer Stand into the new Redevelopment has been a key priority.
