Exciting, young Richmond forward Seth Campbell has drawn high praise from teammate Kane McAuliffe after producing another eye-catching display for the Tigers in the Round 10 clash with North Melbourne at the MCG.
Campbell kicked an equal AFL career-high three goals and had a game-high eight score involvements among the 15 disposals he gathered, along with 235 metres gained.
The 20-year-old now has 17 goals from the 10 games he’s played this season, which places him in equal-21st place on the competition’s goalkicking list.
“Seth’s been instrumental for the team, especially being such a young leader of such a young group,” McAuliffe told Richmond Media in an interview after the game.
“He’s grown so much the last few years. He’s helping others get better and brings so much energy around the Club.
“He’s put the work in last year and over the pre-season, so he’s getting the rewards for that.”
McAuliffe, himself, showed impressive signs in just his 11th game of senior football for the Tigers, finishing the match with an AFL career-high 22 disposals, nine contested possessions, four marks, an equal game-high/AFL career-high six inside-50s, five score involvements, four intercepts, six tackles and an AFL career-high 324 metres gained.
