Seth Campbell has been recognised for his breakout 2025 campaign, being named in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 Squad, presented by Intrepid.
The squad has been chosen by Chair of Selectors, Leigh Montagna, and an internal selection panel at the AFL Players’ Association, with support from Champion Data. To be eligible for the 40-man squad, a player is required to play 50 per cent of the home and away season, equating to 12 matches.
The final team of 22 will be determined by a fan vote, and the Tiger Army can vote for Campbell now, by clicking here. Voting closes on August 13, with the team to be announced on August 20.
Campbell has become one of the most dangerous small forwards in the competition, with his smarts, awareness, energy and pressure in the attacking zone staples of his game.
The 20-year-old leads Richmond’s goal kicking heading into Round 22 with 23 majors, with Campbell recording multiple goals in nine games, including two bags of three (Round 4 and 11).
Amongst forwards, Campbell ranks equal-sixth in the AFL for pressure acts, which highlights his importance to the Tigers.
Campbell recently committed to Richmond long-term, signing a contract extension until at least the end of 2029.
Campbell was selected in the 2022 AFL Rookie Draft but missed most of his debut 2023 season with injury, before becoming a regular across the past two seasons.
It is Campbell’s first selection in the AFLPA 22Under22 Squad. Click here to vote for him to make the final team.
