Richmond ruck Montana McKinnon will make her long-awaited Club debut on Saturday against Naarm, in an exciting step on her AFLW journey.

McKinnon has successfully recovered from her ACL injury that she sustained last year during a match simulation against the Western Bulldogs.

The 24-year-old has come on leaps and bounds in her recent scrimmage matches, earning the call up after not playing senior football since she played for Adelaide back in 2023.

She joined the Club after playing 31 games for Adelaide and is ready to finally put her knowledge and ability into action on the big stage once again.

"I'm just really excited. Obviously, I've been around the Club and girls for the last 12 months, and it's a really exciting group," Montana said back in July.

"Getting to watch them play last year and train all of pre-season with them. I've been grinding away at this rehab to do everything I can to pull on the guernsey with the team."

She'll be joined on Club debut by Lauren Brazzale, who made her way to the Swinburne Centre as a replacement player in the pre-season.

The 31-year-old was drafted at selection No. 62 to Carlton in the inaugural AFLW Draft and spent time with now-Tiger teammates Sarah Hosking and Grace Egan at the Blues.

Brazzale switched to Collingwood ahead of Season 7, where she played 32 of a possible 32 matches in the past three years for the Magpies.

The pair will pull on the Richmond jumper for the first time on Saturday at 12.35pm against the Demons at Casey Fields.
