Richmond was unable to take home their first win of the season in a windy match against Narrm at Casey Fields on Saturday, but the result wasn't enough to deter the side as they look to bounce back against the Cats.

Youngster Isabel Bacon, who was prominent throughout, is keen to see the positives in what was a difficult loss.

“The second half was a lot better from us. We just need to get more consistent and play out the whole game,” Bacon told Richmond Media.

“(The team) bring a lot of energy, heat and spirit into our momentum as well.”

Bacon, who has spent time in the midfield, forward line and in defence this season, again showed her class against a strong Demons outfit, collecting 10 disposals and kicking her first career goal, after swinging up-forward late in the game.

“I think I had a better game. I had fun out there with a smile,” Bacon said.

“I went back to the basics and knew the role I had to play down back. I used my strengths, but when I had the chance to play in the midfield, I used my work and got down and tried to kick a goal like I did.”

But there is work to be done on a broader scale, Bacon admitted, with the Tigers struggling to convert when inside 50.

“It starts with the basics and the simple fundamentals as well. We probably use our hands too much, and on a ground with a lot of wind, we need to use territory as well and get it over the back," she said.

“We need to trust our forwards, mids, and backs with their strengths and just get it going. Use the momentum, have fun and play with a smile.”

Despite not having a win on the board, there is much to look forward to, with the group confident they can work together to nab the four points they need this Sunday.

“We know and believe we can get a win on the board, but also have fun with each other and go out there and play footy," Bacon said.
