Sam Lalor and Seth Campbell are names you'll need to remember for the long run.
Lalor has been crowned the 2025 Bill Cosgrove/Harry Jenkins Best First Year Player Award, while Campbell took home the 2025 Michael Roach Medal, as the leading goalkicker for the season.
Beginning with Campbell's outstanding season, his final two goals in the Round 24 match against Geelong at the MCG pushed him to the top of the leaderboard of the prestigious award.
At just 20-years-old, Campbell now becomes the youngest Richmond leading goalkicker in a season for three decades.
The youngster's season tally was 28 goals, two ahead of veteran star key forward Tom Lynch, who scored 26 goals, with Rhyan Mansell in third place on 18 goals.
You have to go all the way back to 1994 to find a player younger than Campbell to capture the Club’s leading goalkicker award – Tigers great Matthew Richardson, aged 19 years, 168 days, who finished with 56 goals that season.
The youngest winner of Richmond’s leading goalkicking award in its League football history was Mick Maguire, who was just 16 years and 89 days of age when he finished with 20 goals in his 1910 debut season at the Club.
Meantime, Lalor's impact was felt instantly across the Club after he was selected with Pick 1 in the 2024 AFL Draft.
The 19-year-old made himself known after a stellar debut against Carlton in Round 1 this year. He went on to collect 18 disposals, kicked two crucial goals and take home the first Rising Star nomination of the season.
But his impact didn't stop there. Although the teen would go on to play just 11 games this season due to a hamstring injury, each one helped cement him in a budding side.
He averaged 11 disposals, 1.5 clearances and 2.4 clearances, as well as a goal a game.
