Richmond Football Club congratulates Michael Stahl on an incredible 24 years of service to the Club.

Stahl will depart his position as the Club’s Chief Financial Officer to explore other opportunities in the new year.

Before he was appointed Chief Financial Officer, Stahl served as the Club’s Chief Operating Officer and Manager of Administration and Finance.

Stahl helped guide Richmond through some of the Club’s most transformative periods, with his financial stewardship and operational insight instrumental.

Key achievements included:

  • The Fighting Tiger Fund era, which helped reduce Club debt and set the foundations for premiership success.
  • The Club’s transition into the David Mandie Building, a state-of-the-art facility that elevated training and administrative capabilities.
  • A period of unprecedented on-field success, including three AFL Premierships (2017, 2019, 2020) and a minor premiership (2018), which redefined Richmond’s legacy in the modern era.
  • The launch and growth of the Club’s VFL and AFLW programs.
  • Sustained financial growth, with Club revenue rising significantly in recent years.

Richmond CEO Shane Dunne said the Club had deep appreciation for Stahl’s tenure.

“Michael’s calm presence, strategic thinking, and collaborative spirit have helped us navigate challenges and seize opportunities,” he said.

“He is a Life Member of our Club, and his legacy will continue to shape the Club’s future, and he leaves behind a culture of professionalism and care that will endure.”

Stahl will remain at the Club until the end of the year.
