Archie Daffy

Two Richmond father-son prospects, Archie Daffy and Jack Leys, will be embedded into the Tigers’ AFL program this week as they continue their development towards the 2026 AFL Draft.

Archie is the son of 165-gamer, and 1998 Jack Dyer Medallist, Nick Daffy, while Jack is the son of Brian Leys, who played 110 matches for the Tigers from 1988-1994.

Throughout the week, the talented duo will train with Richmond’s senior team, participate in gym and recovery sessions, sit in meetings, and learn invaluable lessons about the standards, demands, and expectations of being in an elite AFL environment.

The 173cm Daffy is an exciting small forward, who kicked seven goals in eight games, and averaged 11 disposals for the Geelong Falcons in the Coates Talent League last year, while also having strong performances with Geelong College at APS level.

Leys, 182cm, played 14 U18s games for Woodville-West Torrens Eagles last season, averaging 15.6 disposals, particularly impressing with 17 disposals and two goals in Round 3, 24 disposals in Round 15, and 23 disposals in the preliminary final. Leys played alongside 2025 Richmond draftee, Zane Peucker, at the Eagles last year.

The Tigers recently re-structured their pathway program, amalgamating Next Generation Academy (NGA) programming with father-son, father-daughter pathways, establishing the Richmond Academy. Click here to read more.
