Jack Ross, Seth Campbell, Mykelti Lefau

Mykelti Lefau’s four goals against Greater Western Sydney in the Gather Round clash at Barossa Park was the most in a game by a Richmond player for two years.

Shai Bolton also kicked four goals in the Tigers’ 2024 Gather Round match against St Kilda at Norwood Oval.

The previous year, Tim Taranto booted four goals in the Round 11 encounter with Port Adelaide at the MCG.

The last time a Richmond player scored more than four goals in a game was Round 23 of the 2022 season, when Tom Lynch finished with five against Essendon at the MCG.

Lefau ignited a third-quarter Tiger revival in Sunday’s match with three of his four goals coming in that term.

He certainly maximised his opportunities throughout the contest, as his four goals came from just six disposals.

But Lefau also laid five fierce tackles to further underline his value within Richmond’s line-up.

The 27-year-old has now scored a total of 19 goals from his 15 AFL games.
