Richmond's injury toll continued to grow on Sunday, with defender Tom Brown leaving the Round 9 game against Adelaide with a left forearm injury.
Coach Adem Yze provided an update on Brown's status after the game.
"The 'Doc' said at half-time that he thinks it's a clean break and he'll go in for an operation straight away and put a plate and all those sorts of things, so I'm not sure how long that will take. Hopefully it's on the shorter end," Yze said.
"It's unfortunate that we lose him. He was just starting to hit his straps, he had played two really good games of footy, he is an emerging leader of our footy club. He was a reason why we got our win last week [and why we were] really competitive against Melbourne."
The Tigers will provide a further update on Brown's injury in this week's nib Injury Report.
