From lauding the journey to game 200 for premiership Tiger Jayden Short, to Tom Sims' long-awaited return via the VFL, as well as the "privilege" of playing Dreamtime at the 'G, coach Adem Yze opens up ahead of Round 11 on Friday night.
On Tom Sims' return to football after injury...
"Tom Sims is going to play some managed minutes in the VFL. We're getting some availability back, which is really important for us," Yze said.
"We'll get some more players available next week. Then post-bye there's a handful that will come back and up-the-ante with training."
On Jayden Short's 200th game...
"It's an amazing achievement for a rookie-list player, premiership player, and an amazing Richmond man," Yze said.
"Our boys will want to put on a performance for a great teammate. We've got a lot to play for tomorrow night.
"The boys love him. He's an amazing teammate and he gives so much to our Club and to his teammates. They're going to want to pay that back in spades tomorrow night. It's a credit to him. We've got to do that justice.
"His leadership, spirit and energy [is amazing]. He is so loud out on the field, that's why he's in the leadership group. He's constantly communicating to our younger boys. He works so hard on his game. He'll be last to leave and he's always trying to help others."
On the honour of playing on the Dreamtime stage...
"We've got a responsibility tomorrow night to put on a good performance. We understand the responsibility and the privilege to play in this game. They've got a responsibility to perform and play a certain way," Yze said.
"Michael Mitchell went through the story of the jumper. There's a responsibility putting that jumper on and the privilege it is, to do that in this game.
"We've got a young group really eager to get out there. It's going to be a finals-like atmosphere and we need our players to be ready for that.
"It's all part of it, it's all part of belonging on an AFL field, the stress and anxiety about playing in front of a big crowd. We can't wait for these young lads to go and perform on a big stage."
