Exciting young Richmond small forward Jasper Alger continues to impress with his capacity to hit the scoreboard.
Alger kicked two goals in the Round 18 clash with Melbourne at the MCG to take his season’s tally to 13 from just eight games.
The 19-year-old also had two goal assists for the match, so he was directly involved in four of the Tigers’ total of nine goals on the day.
He is now equal third on Richmond’s goalkicking list this season, only two goals behind leader Mykelti Lefau, who has booted 15 goals.
Among AFL rising stars, Alger is ranked No. 1 for goals per game, No. 5 for total goals, No. 1 for marks inside-50 per game and No. 4 for total marks inside-50.
Alger’s forward craft is extremely impressive, and Tiger supporters are going to really enjoy watching his goalkicking exploits in the coming seasons.
