Irish Gaelic talent Ana Mulholland will become Richmond’s fifth debutant of 2026, earning her guernsey after impressing in recent weeks.

The 22-year-old Antrim midfielder has been praised for her dynamic pace and ability in GAA circles, but has also stood tall while integrating into Australian Rules Football.

She has shown advanced transition play skills and has thrown herself into every challenge in 2026, impressing with her ever-improving speed.

She has played across multiple scrimmage matches and has shown elite ball-hunting skills, earning the chance to be emergency for the AFLW side over the past few rounds.

Richmond AFLW List and Recruiting Manager, Trent Mosbey, declared Mulholland’s speed and agility as her most impressive strengths.

“Her skill level and cleanliness by hand are at an advanced level,” Mosbey said in the pre-season.

“She is competitive, hardworking and a determined athlete.”

Mulholland is Richmond’s second current Irish-native, following in the footsteps of 2025 debutant, Aoibhin Cleary, who has played eight games.

She becomes Richmond’s fifth debutant of the 2026 campaign, following 2025 draftees Olivia Wolmarans, Baia Pugh and Fina Dethlefsen, as well as Georgia Stubs.

Richmond takes on Carlton at IKON Park this Friday from 4.00pm (AEST).
