James Weinert and Bryant Parsons

Richmond players have dominated the 2026 Victorian Wheelchair Football League Awards, with the Tigers claiming winners in both the Championship and Community Division League Best and Fairests, along with a slew of other achievements.

Richmond captain James Weinert claimed the League Best and Fairest in the Championship Division, after his sensational campaign helped guide the Tigers to a first-place finish in the home-and-away campaign.

In the Community Division, Bryant Parsons was crowned as the League's Best and Fairest, after his performances were a highlight in the Club's run to the Grand Final. His 52 goals also saw him top the League's goal scoring tally.

Weinert was joined by teammates Nathan Graetz and Chris Kotsanas in the Championship Division Team of the Year, while Parsons and first-year sensation Bianca Meo were named in the Community Division Team of the Year.

Meo also won the AFL Victoria Values Award, the 19-year-old recently explaining how significant playing for Richmond has become.

"Playing footy has always been my dream, so to be playing for a Club like Richmond and wearing the jumper and representing the Club is an amazing feeling,” Meo said.

Richmond's Sustainability & Inclusion Lead, Gabrielle McKeown, congratulated all the players on their awards.

"It was another fantastic season of Richmond football in the VWFL, and we are thrilled to see so many of our players be recognised by the League," McKeown said.

"We congratulate all of them on these wonderful achievements and look forward to seeing what 2027 holds for the Tigers."
