The pair were part of Richmond’s 2019 premiership side, while Caddy is also a 2017 premiership player.

Since crossing to Richmond in the 2016 trade period from Geelong, Caddy has played 62 games for the Tigers, taking his AFL games tally to 157, after beginning his career at the Gold Coast Suns in 2010.

A versatile player, Caddy has spent much of his career both in the midfield and forward, booting 160 career goals in his nine AFL seasons – with his highest goal tally of 46 for Richmond in season 2018.

Short, 24, went from rookie list to premiership success in his five seasons at the Club.

Recruited in the 2015 Rookie Draft, Short has become an important player in the Richmond line-up, with his accurate kick, quick pace and good decision-making as a running defender.

“We’ve really enjoyed Josh and Jayden’s football development in their time at Richmond - they’re now both premiership players, and they help to make us a better team,” Richmond’s General Manager - Football Talent, Blair Hartley said.

“They both bring great value both on and off the field, and we’re rapt they’re continuing with us for two more years.”
