Last year was not so kind to Caddy who endured a stop-start season curtailed by calf and hamstring injuries.
He played just eight games – his lowest return since his debut year in 2011 – and fell out of the team on a couple of occasions.
Caddy’s versatility is a bonus, but he needs to bed down a position in order to fight his way back into the line-up.
One shining light was the fact he penned a two-year contract which sees him tied to the Tigers until 2022.
