A slower start to the season by Martin’s superstar standards, but he tore up the competition after the mid-season bye. Missed a game through suspension after a moment of ill-discipline, but also captained the club for the first time against Adelaide. Averaged 26 disposals despite appearing to spend more time in the goalsquare, where his brute strength and explosive power proves a difficult match-up. Led the club in inside-50s, goal assists and overall score involvements, demonstrating his value forward of centre. Again showed his class on the biggest stage of all, collecting his second Norm Smith Medal. Contracted until the end of 2024.
